![]() is a Graduate of NYU’s TISCH School of the Visual Arts, where he received a BFA in Film and Acting. As an actor he’s worked on stage with Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey and Judd Hirsch and in film with Peter Scolari, Bokeem Woodbine, Sam Golzari, Todd Stashwick, Christopher Knight, Luca Bercovici and Sam Bottoms. Jake has also worked with noted directors Julie Taymor, James Tripp, Viveca Lindfors, and Stella Adler. Jake made his directing debut Off Broadway at Theater for the New City with the premiere of his play Valhalla, starring Rockets Redglare and Michele Matheson. His work was featured in the Soho Arts Festival where he directed a staged performance of his first screenplay Riding with Death. Based on the life of iconic painter Jean Michel Basquiat, the production was produced by Judy Jacksina & 4 time Tony winner Thommie Walsh and starred Paul Hipp, Sebastian Roche and Pop Star/Actor Eagle Eye Cherry as Basquiat. ![]() Shortly after Jake completed his first feature - the controversial and provocative “Looking Through Lillian” starring Sam Bottoms. The breakthrough film won awards at numerous festivals including Grand Prize at Houston where Sam Bottoms also received Maverick Actor Award. In its Art House Theatrical run, Lillian received rave reviews from Kevin Thomas (Los Angeles Times) and Chris Gore to name a few. Jake is currently prepping his next 2 features a romantic comedy called “Saving My Marriage" and "Valhalla" a fantastical thriller centered around a bizarre underworld created by "MAMA" a Fagenesque Godfather who manipulates a gang of adopted off the street runaways. In his spare time, Jake produces FASHIONLAND MAGAZINE with renown NYC nightlife photographer Caroline Torem Craig. Jakes dad was an O.S.S. agent who parachuted into Auschwitz. When he returned a war hero, he studied painting under Kuniyoshi at the Art Students League. Jake is the Recipient of the Play Stream Director’s Award.
